Who bought theirs new and still own it?

I don't have anything exciting to add about my Screaming Yellow '05 GT. Sadly my wallet has kept it on a diet since forever. I purchased new in California, just from what I read about it, ordered it. When they called to say it had arrived I told them that maybe I ought to at least sit in it before I closed the deal. Up till then I had only seen them on the road, hadn't even touched one. I found that it handled well in the California mountains and acceleration exiting the corners was much more energetic than my heavily modified BMW 320i it replaced. My wallet let me install a Granatelli CAI with a "chip" and to be honest I was pretty happy with it, till it broke here in North Carolina. I've replaced the battery twice, had a pinion seal leak, had the fuel pump replaced under warranty (got an "emissions light" warning that led to that) and I know it adds to the car's performance. In early 2014 a fellow talked to me in the grocery parking lot, liked my car, said he had had an '06 GT had sold it, but kept his CAI and his Diablo Predator Tuner and CAI system, I could have them for $200. Sadly my wallet was still a pain in the butt, didn't, but got his contact information. In July my Granatelli "broke" and I found out the fellow still had his CAI and tuner, bought it! There is a BIG performance gain over the old system! I'd like to have it on a dyno and find out the horse power, but there is no real need, and I can put the money elsewhere. I am on my third set of tires, the originals, a set of Michelins, and now a set of Good Year Eagle GT's which have been fine, but been considering a new set of tires. The Good Year's have been fine and dandy but I don't like to wait till the wear bars make their appearance before I change them out, especially here in NC where it rains all year round. (in CA on the BMW I went through 30 sets of high performance rubber, usually bought them in the fall before the winter rains and got them tired out before the winter rains came back I had the car for 29 years) The GT now has 73k miles, and 10 (hard to believe!) years on it, it is still like new, runs really good, especially after that new CAI and tune, I did replace the radio with a JVC unit in '13, I keep the engine and transmission happy with Amsoil and Tufoil products which I so myself at my advanced age, and when I ask the dealer if I should do anything else he says not needed. I have been thinking for quite some time that I'd like to do shocks and springs. but, driving in Eastern NC is nowhere near as exciting, as entertaining as the California Mountain driving I used to do, and the original shocks still seem to be fine, as the dealer tells me.
