From what I gather you seem to rush on purchases.
I would advise taking more time in the future and doing more research before making purchases.
I also don't understand if you say you are all about performance, why even contemplate 20's?
You know you lose some performance over 18's...it's just a fact.
So given you are all about performance why switch to something that loses it?
Even if you had the best tires in the world and fastest Stang, you'd still lose performance if u went 20 from 18.
It just makes NO sence.
20's are for bling and nothing else, period.
And in my opinion they don't look near as good as 18's.
These cars are meant to have meat on the tire and 20's make it look like everything EXCePT the wheels/tires are about muscle.

Blacksmoke, i wasnt sure if i was all about performance, i love how they look but hate how the car feel slower, so i can say now that i want the car to be all performance, and your totally right i purchase stuff wayy too fast, that the story of my life, the setup is already back for sale and im getting the same rims in 18" with eibach pro spring, but now debating if i go 9" all around. Stagerred again 8.5/9.5 or 9.5 all around, also not sure what tire size i need to run on wider 18" vs 235-50-18 stock size.

18 x 9.5 will fit on all four corners if the offset chosen is correct (+45 is about what Ford used on the GT500's that came with 255/45-18 front and 285/40-18 rear tires). 275/40 will also work on those wheels front and rear. My "3-season" setup is 255/45-18's on 18" FRPP/GT500 wheels.
If you're very careful about your choice of wheel offset as well as tire sizing, 18x10's will also work at both ends. Beyond that, you're on your own.

Better pictures than my avatar. My car is not lowered but is running about 1° more negative camber than factory preferred (this tips the tops of the front tires inward a little more than OE camber would). The tire sidewalls are about 3/4" inboard of the front fender flare, maybe 1/2" inboard at the rear. Ignore the wheel design for this purpose and look only at the wheel/tire to sheetmetal.
It's a slightly conservative setup that's a "no-brainer" in terms of whether it'll work. FWIW, 255/45 tires on 9.5" wide rims end up looking (and actually measuring) about 265-wide. I'm looking to go wider for track use, but something in the 255 or maybe 265 width will remain the street setup.

I wouldn't run staggered set-up on the same wheels unless you're running drag radials on the back. You're just losing the ability to rotate them. I ran 285/40/18 (I believe 40 series) Nitto NT05's on all corners with stock 9.5" wheels with no issues. If you like to play around, which it sounds like you do, that would be a good option.

I feel like 285/40 all around on 9.5 would give a heavy feeling similar to having 20"?
I just want to make sure to run something better looking then the stock 18" rims on small gaped 235-50-18. But to keep the smooth/fast feeling from the 18" vs 20"

So much of the choice is based on a person's taste. For my taste wheels can get too big with too low a profile and make a car look like it belongs on "Wagon Train" circling to fight off the Indians, although I get the use of low profile tires in racing.
I also think many of the newer chrome wheels look like plastic chrome on a kids toy. I much prefer a Mag wheel look.... but it is all personal taste. Buy what winds your clock!
