word... mine has a bit of whine in 6th coasting, and the dreaded skip to 4th BS. I do, on occasion, get a mild clunk when pushing in the clutch going from 1st to 2nd.

Uh, that skip shift to 4th used to drive me nuts in my 2012. So glad now it has been removed in the 2013/14.

But yes I agree I'm going to drive this one till it breaks since it is under Ford warranty, just annoying that they ditched Tremec for this crap and realized all the problems they've had and are now looking at Tremec again for 2015 models. Heck even Borg Warner would have been better than this Chinese trans.

There is a known issue for a hanging up clutch, if that is what yours is doing. May be worth looking at. Basically the mod takes out a spring in the clutch assembly that causes it to hang up. Its an assist spring. Removing it turns the assemble into a gt500 clone.

May fix your slop. Guide with pics here: http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95342

I'm driving a Mustang with an automatic because of my horrible experience with a Tremec in a 2008 GT (got tired of the hard shifts and cold crunch to second gear during the winter). I'm not sure that the Tremec would be a huge improvement.

Tbones, I don't have a login/account to s197forums, any way you can provide another link or copy/paste? I'm curious to see what this is about.

STANGmole, I'd almost take hard shifts to the unpredictable crap I get from the MT82. Strange how I never had issues on my 85, 93, or 98 GT, pull the tranny, drop in a FRP clutch and away you went with sharp precise shifts, miss those days.

Yeah that is on my list of "upgrades". I'm sure given the responses I've read that it should make a good improvement.
