Trading a 2013 GT for a 2010 Shelby
This is what happens when you are on vacation. An idle mind is the devils workshop my mom use to say. I have a 2013 GT Premium with Nav and all the bells and whistles that I bought last summer. My car currently has a little over 4000 miles on her. I found this 2010 Shelby and I am tempted to trade my car in for it. I have about $10,000 set aside for a supercharger or a down payment on a 2015. Would any of you guys pull the trigger on this 2010?

I saw this car in person when I was looking for my '11 and I got to say it is BEAUTIFUL! If its not going to be your DD I would go for it. The only thing it is missing is Nav but I am sure you can install that yourself or go aftermarket.

I would not but that's only because I have an 07 GT500. I havent looked back since I traded my roushcharged '10 in for it.
However if I were still in my '10 I would totally get it. Once you get a 500, you'll never look back.

That's one reason I haven't gone to look at it yet. It would be hard to walk away from it. I only drive at most, 5000 miles a year. I've had my 2013 for 13 months and it only has 4067 miles on it.

Well I just logged in to my USAA account and see that my auto loan application was approved for up to $46000. I have 45 days to use the loan. I am off all of this week, so I now have a dilemma to sort out. I told my wife last year that the 2013 would be my last car for a while. I told her this morning that if I got the Shelby, it would be my last car until I retire. ;-)

IMO, its not worth it. With the power available in your current '13 5.0, I think you are much better off going with some mods to hold you over until the '15's come out. Obviously, styling is the big question, but they will be ~400 lbs lighter and have more power in the 5.0 than '13's. Basically, a '15 5.0 should be able to beat a '10 shelby straight from the factory. Keep saving and make your decision once the new Mustangs are revealed.

Haha. You're keeping the first promise you're keeping because time is relative. After all, imagine if you had to wait a whole year to pee. That's a LONG time. The second statement might be true too. If you haven't test driven that car, you should if you're serious.
