I do not know if it will work with your Stang, but American Muscle has a new system for $699 from Raxiom. Just got one for my 2013 GT it is better then the Factory NAV. It is awesome.

all of the aftermarket stuff I looked at last year will not support the steering wheel controls and some also did not support SYNC on newer cars

Default JVC

I have a JVC unit for my 2007 that is awesome. It has HD radio, along with bluetooth audio. When I pair my phone with the JVC radio, and I can stream audio apps like Pandora wirelessly to the receiver.

^ I think pretty much any receiver with BT will do this. Personally, I like the convenience of the BT streaming, but the quality sucks. I can hear a huge difference, but I also have a trained ear as a musician. My wife and all of my friends with one exception can't hear the difference. My buddy who can is also an audiophile and he wont stream BT either. One thing I wish I had bought with my Pioneer at the time was the HD receiver but I passed on it thinking I might want the traffic module. As I never bought that traffic deal, I think I will buy the HD radio module and install it.

I've only heard HD radio on my Zune and it was a big difference. The clarity and sound are far better. Would you agree and do you have any insight into pitfalls, issues with HD?

Thanks all. This is good info. As far as sound quality goes, it would have to be pretty bad for me to notice. I mean, I could probably tell the difference but would get something close by tweaking the tone controls. Too much looud music in my teens I think.

The Raxiom Unit from American Muscle supports SYNC, Steering Wheel Controls, Bluetooth, Factory style dash bezel, Rear View Camera and also alerts you if you are going over the posted speed limit all included for $699. Best deal out there.

I would definitely NOT want to be alerted that I was going over the speed limit.

Yeah, like me you can turn it off. I don't remember the last time I did the speed limit. But it is nice sometimes especially going through a State like Virginia where Radar Detectors are not allowed.

My 05 came with a Pioneer AVH3000BH. I thought I'd be putting the stock shaker in that the PO included but after experiencing the features on it. Wow. BT, iPhone comp. and very customizable. Especially the colors to match MyColor. 👍

Pioneer Avic-X930BT in my 07. Has Aux, BT phone/streaming, Nav, DVD, MicroSD, USB, back up camera support, iPhone/Pod support, plus much more powerful than the stock Shaker.

Its a few years old so can probably be had for very cheap, or Im sure there is a newer, better, updated version available now.
