Need some opinions on a couple Mustangs
Hey everyone, So I pretty much have my mind set on a mustang. And I have decided to go with a stick. I just wanted your opinions on a few. The first one looks really nice but it says it has a salvage title. Would it still be worth looking at?

The second one is a few years older but is a little more pricey. But it also has a better look to it in my opinion.

If I find any more in the 2005 and up range I will post them here just to get some opinions. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Really depends on why it has a salvaged title....plus your plans. If you plan on keeping it for a long time, it might not be bad. It hurts the resale as you see. If it has a good straight body and floors with no water damage, I might look into it. ANY water inside the car and I would run.....fast. If you plan on tons of mods, it might be a good choice.

I found another one that I actually really like. What do you think about this?

Not to bad. The car looks clean and has a lot of life left in it. Might shoot for another grand or so off the price.
I like the California Special as I just sold our '11 GT/CS. For comparison, I just bought an '08 GT Vert auto with 17,300 miles with a clean title for $18,000....booked for $21,000....and a private deal, no dealer.

Thanks for the input. It may not be something I can get yet since I have to sell my current car or get the payoff low enough so that I can get something for the trade in to put down on the car. If I can't get this GT/CS then hopefully a 2003-2004 Cobra will pop up sometime between now and then.

yea I know, but by the time I get my Monte payed off enough to get some for trade in, I will also have some money saved up so I can go and put a good down payment on one. I've found them in the $15k-$20k range so far.

I'd pass on the salvage title unless it was a car I was going to keep. Also go into it expecting problems. If you find none, then cool...but if you have the mindset there will be issues, then you wont be too surprised when they do occur. I'd also check that VIN to ensure it's really a Bullitt. I'd pass on the second car. Too many mods that might be unaccounted for and some of them don't look like they were executed very well. As for the GT/CS, that's something I'd definitely consider. That's a great looking car and I've always like the CS's. They arent as rare as the Bullitt you are considering, but unless you're a Steve McQueen fan and in the market for one, Bullitt isn't worth the money IMO esp. with a salvage title.
