I'm very happy with Brenspeed's B326 (5.3L) Build Stroker with 9.8 CR.
Who did the install? I called brenspeed and i could bot justify over $8k. If i had a blown 4.6 with a rod sticking out of it, i may have considered it.
B326 Short Block from Brenspeed was $4,895 at the time and then I had Steeda here (Toronto) install it for me. I had a lot more done at the same time, but if I recall, labor for this was around 18-20 hours

I just looked and its still $4,895. I'll have to give that some thought.. I just need to find someone who can not only install it but do the tune as well. Closest place was over 2 hours away and I just found this place which I hear are good guys (their just over an hour from me). http://www.efilogics.com

Just be aware of some of the extra costs to have the new B326 installed ..i.e. FRPP Special Head Changing Kit, FRPP Boss Motor mounts, and a 8 Bolt Clutch/Flywheel.

While there is some truth to your reasoning, there is an inversely proportional relationship between the AMOUNT of boost you can safely tune and compression ratio, and that relationship is exponential. How big do you ultimately want to go with a built motor? The ceiling is considerably higher with a low CR build and lots and lots of psi.
+1 Tune is part of the equation but:
8.5 to 9.0 CR is the ideal for a boosted motor. The logic is simple. Diminishing return.
At 8.5 you can run more boost which will give you more power than a similar engine that has a higher CR and thus has to run less boost.
The more I look this project over the more I realize this is going to be outside of my budget right now. Seeing I have a perfectly good 4.6, I'm going to hold off till I get more coin saved. :-(
