Default 2012 Mustang V6 Grille

Hey guys, I know everyone has been saying to get a GT grille on a V6, you have to change the front bumper cap. I went to Ford today and they told me that only applied for the 2010 models unless you're getting a Saleen or Roush grille. They said on the 2011-2012 Models, the only difference was the lower facia was different but for the grille I could put foglights, Cali Special grille, or pretty much any aftermarket grille that isnt Saleen or Roush. I was just wanting some thoughts on this from actual GT owners or someone who has a GT grille on a V6 bumper or someone who did the bumper swap.

I believe the only difference in the grilles is the the way they cover/don't cover the headlight pillars.
I've had my whole grille assembly out and that is the only noticeable difference i can see.

A V6 front fascia will not allow grilles that have their own side posts (like the GT/Boss grilles). I don't know about the CS grille, but if the insert is separate from the side posts, you might be able to swap it out for your V6 fascia.

Thing is with it, I went looked at the GT's and CS's that they had out there, they had one used 2010 and a few 2012's. The 2010 had the foglights that had the pillars covered, but on the 2012 on the CS and GT Foglight's, the pillars were uncovered. Also when I look aftermarket none of the grille's cover the pillar's except for Saleen. And Roush requires the surround so Roush put it's self out of business for V6's as soon as they made the grille.
