Hey guys I am new to the forum and I am sorry if this has been addressed already, but I haven't found the thread yet. Any ways I have purchased a FRPP short throw shift for my 2011 GT and I would like to use the stock 6 speed **** on it. SO my question is how can I achieve this?

if the threads on the new shifter are the same as the threads on the the old one (they probably are but i'm not positive) then you can just twist the factory **** off the factory shifter and screw it onto the new one.

I tried doing that but the original **** dropped right on top of the new shifter. The thread for the **** is bigger than the FRPP.
