'12 versus '13

It's part of the tech package. You get a power driver seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, Bluetooth, steering wheel mounted controls and Microsoft sync. And, I think it's great! It gives you Bluetooth media streaming, navigation, traffic alerts, weather, etc. My '13 5.0 is a base, with the exception of the tech package.

There is no difference between the 11-12 and 13-14 in power. It's marketing.. Ford underrated the power in 11-12 and "corrected" the numbers in 13, AKA.. marketing. If you look around the forums.. people's reported stock dyno numbers vary greatly, with no lean toward more HP in the 13-14. Some are high (mine's 389).. some are really low. There seems to be a fair amount of natural variability in HP for some reason.
That is a hard decision. One benifit of the 13-14 is you can adjust the steering feel without having to turn off TC/AT. With my 11, if I want better steering feel, my only option is to go into Sport Mode or turn everything off.

I have the tech package with the recaros
(IMO, the recaro seats are more comfy than the regular ones, even the gf agrees!)

The 11-12's were equipped with the oil squirters in the engine. These were removed in the 13-14's after the RoadRunner engines in the Boss 302 omitted them. ....
That was the story for the HP bump. But, in reality the 11's through 14's are all the same HP. They can vary from high to low but the median average has always been 420 or more at the crank.
The 11 - 12's did something that was lost in the 13-14's. They actually identified the model type of the Mustang you were driving with a distinctly different and easily identifiable front fascia and hood between each trim level, V6 - GT - CS - Boss - GT500.
Then when the 13 - 14's landed...that distinction was not so clear as all the models sported the same GT500 Pig Nose. And the same hood for the most part.
The front end on the 11 -12's v6's and GT's is the sexier looking and Identifiable look. And the first year introduction of the Coyote's are the ones that will likely be more revered and sought after as these become classics in the future.
The rear end on the 13 - 14's was the makeover Ford tried after much industry criticism that the 11-12's were not a big improvement over the flat 2 dimensional look of the 05- 09's. They nailed it in the 13 -14's. But to the benefit of the 11-12 owners..the rear tail lights and blackout rear deck panel was a transferable look. So with the earlier 11- 12's.... you could have both the sexy front end and the Sexxy rear combined.
In the end... any 11 through 14 is a gem.

The look is transferable. There are many rear deck lid blackout options for the 10 through 12's and the tail lights from the 13-14's will replace and work with the 10-12's. Slight gap that is easily covered.
Also the 11-12's also came with HID's on the Premium package.
The latest Saleen's use the 11-12's front fascia and the 13-14's rear fascia. The look is awesome with the rest of the styling.
When I find the link I'll add it.
