found a weird scratch after washing, what should i do?
found a weird black scratch yesterday on my front bumper after washing the car, im thinking i scraped against a ice chunk or something, but wondering if maybe someone vandalized my car? i doubt it though cus i usually keep it in my garage unless i go out which is not much.
should i take it to a body shop and fix it as well as the minor hardly visible scratches around my car fixed or what would you recommend? how much would it cost?
thanks
if its probably from ice and stuff im thinking i am going to never drive this car in winter agaiin. it has never seen winter in its life until i bought it last summer and drove it this winter I'm so sorry!
thinking i might buy a cheapo truck before next winter and keep this guy garaged, whats a cheap truck thats still pretty cool? im thinking of the toyota tacoma.

Looks like a combination of curb rash and/or you hit one of those cinderblocks in a parking lot. Most likely a vandal wouldn't go through the trouble of scratching ONLY the front lip of your bumper. I can't tell from the picture if it's a crack or just a scratch; with a scratch you can sand it down and spray it over yourself with matching aerosol touch-up. I wouldn't bother with a touch-up pen for a job that large.

That's pretty serious. My guess is that it happened in a parking lot from a bike or curb/cement like some others have said. Even a hard hit from another car with a plastic bumper wouldn't gouge like that. Also, if it were ice it would be more likely to happen on the underside of the bumper. Not on the top of that lip where your damage is.

I can't see a gash, but if it's just paint coming off, Ice can sometimes peel paint off if you're not careful, especially when your coat is starting to flake (using hot water to wash a frozen car). But if there is a gash, it's too long to be from a bike pedal and the angle is wrong for curb rash. Definitely not a vandal or paint trading. If there is a gash, just use some body filler and paint over it.
