Default Lowered the car yesterday.

Well I lowered the car yesterday with some SR springs. So far so good it will settle a little bit more but I am liking the look now. I also put in a J and M panhard bar, Kyb front struts too. Now I just need to save to get some 18s im thinking 2013 gt500s in flat black. These are just off my phone so not the best quality.

Perfect stance clix813! I love the ride height of the SR springs. This ride height should have came stock on these S197's.

Were you able to easily center your rear end housing with the adj panhard bar? How's the ride since upgraded the springs and front struts? You're still using the factory struts out back?

18" wheels would definitely top this off, no doubt. Especially if you're thinking about going staggered!

No problems clearing the rear housing. Ride is defiantly stiffer but not to bad. Car has almost no body roll when cornering hard now. And they are still the factory shocks in the rear. I am going to be buy some new ones soon noticed one of them is leaking also going to pick up some new tie rod ends since one of them has a torn boot.

Looks good man.
I've had my SR's on for a month or more now and I like them a lot. I'm still on stock shocks, stock everything for now. Thinking about Str.t by KYB right now.

i been wanting to lower for a long time but it seems like people who lower later always complain about ride quality and alignments....and i can't afford to replace my whole suspension just to lower the ride! so im kinda stuck.

im babying my car because its 06 gt premium with only 30k miles and wont be paid off til september 2017...so should i wait until then to lower it?

i kinda wanna do it though because this thread inspired me - i was always told u gotta get 18" rims BEFORE u lower it otherwise they will scrape, but now im feeling confident to lower it becase urs looks good and i will probably keep my 17s for a while.

would lowering make me scrape because i dont usually slow down for bumps and steep driveways, so would it make me scrape?

No no no and no.

Yes, you need an alignment. You can get it close to spec without adding any camber adjustment. Bolts will get you within spec. Lowering does hurt ride quality a bit, but nothing to write home about. It's the best thing you can possibly do to your Mustang. Don't wait. If you're on the fence, go for it. It's a cheap and worthwhile mod.

However, me personally I would wait until I had 18's to lower because the gap would be less.
