Default how often do you do fuel filter and tranny flush?

my GT has about 36k mileage atm and I saw that at 30k it recommended fuel filter and tranny flush...

Will I be okay if I wait to 50k to do the fuel filter and tranny flush or is it really important to do it now? how often do you do fuel filter + tranny flush?

I would get it done now. Sure you could push it out to 50K but why take the chance with your tranny and fuel system. It's not a big job money or time wise.

Depending on how clean your local fuel tanks are, you could go 100,000 miles. But if they're dirty you'd ALREADY have problems.

It can't hurt to do both although I usually don't bother with the tranny fluid until about 100k miles; less if I'm hard on the car; and that has worked for me on at least 6 cars that I sold or traded over 200k miles with no tranny problems.

Im at around 56k now and I been changing my fuel filters every 15k-20k, could probably wait longer but it's so easy that I like the comfort of throwing a new one in during an oil change.. I have yet to do anything with the transmission and probably won't flush it till around 100k like Nuke said.

I think fuel filter every 20k - 25k is about right, and for the tranny flush somewhere in between 50k - 100k (personally i wouldn't go past 75k).

but i use premium fuel, and don't take my car to the track, so I think that changes things.

I agree. It all depends on the quality of gas in your area and how you drive your car.

I change my fuel at 30k and use good gas. I just flushed my trans around 60k because I got some good fluid for free. I would recommend AMSOil for all fluids when your time comes.

I recently changed my fuel filter and tranny fluid at 81k miles (bought with 74k.) I don't know for sure what the PO did to the car so I figured may as well do it. It's as easy as an oil change.

The tranny flush really helped the car shift. It was extremely notchy and touch to engage beforehand.

Always flush a tranny if you don't know where it's been!
