Default Water Sloshing in Rear

Can anybody help me out? When it rains hard, the few days following I can hear water sloshing around in the rear of the car. It sounds like I have a few gallons in the trunk. I'm looked in the trunk itself and it stays completely dry. However, when I hit the brakes I can hear water moving around...

are you sure you're not hearing fuel sloshing around in the tank?

I guess that could be it, hadn't even thought about it. Just odd because I've never heard that in a car before.

Convertible or hard top? Also I haven't had mine long enough to really worry about so I don't know where all the drain hoses are at but I think you should take yours in & have it looked at under warranty. If there's water sloshing around you don't want it standing too long.

Its a hard top. Good idea, that's my plan on my day off next week to take it in and get it serviced for the first time since I've had it. Also, I'll ask about the "water" noise coming from the rear.

Do you have a full tank of gas, or close to it? In my CRV after filling up I can hear the gas sloshing around in the tank from the driver's seat. I don't hear it when its not full though.

Hmm the more that I think about it I'm pretty sure its more noticable when I have a full tank. I'm running on a full tank right now I'll have to pay close attention on my way home from work.

Can you also hear it from outside your car? Like if you are pulling into a garage and you step out and close the door?

If possible try not to fill your gas tank all the way (only do halfway) for a bit and see if you can still hear it.

Hear is a link to someone else that had a similar problem. Maybe it will help you with your issue.
