I feel your pain man... I had the same issue on my 1999 Ranger and got gear dope everywhere, I was pissed. It smells terrible and I even tried to siphon it out with a hose and what a terrible idea that was. I ended up getting one of those turkey baster looking things and doing it little by little, slowly but surely I got it all filled up painlessly.

I just bought a cheap weed sprayer, cut off the end nozzle and dumped a few quarts of the diff fluid in it and pumped it up, worked pretty well. but I can agree with trying any other way to get it in, nothing was working easily.

Well I was able to get a different pump at advanced auto parts that worked. Without a pump though, I'm not sure I could have got it. Its almost like diff fluid defies gravity lol. Oh well, it was frustrating but a learning expierence, on to bigger and better things. Thanks guys for the help

I use a hand pump from napa. I also lay under the car and push the entire bottle up and down against he trunk. I found that easier than working the pump handle. It's a slow process for sure, lots of muscle cramping working that pump. Lol

When i went to go change my diff fluid the first thought in my head was : ****ing ford...how hard is it to put a freaking drain bolt in the diff cover ?
i wasn't prepared to scrape old gasket and use RTV sealant for a new gasket so I just got a transfer pump to suck out as much fluid as i could via the fill bolt and refill the same way
arm felt dead after but it got the job done
