I test drove a couple black cars, one auto and one manual. The auto just felt a little sluggish and when I got in the manual I could tell an immediate difference. I'm thinking a lot of it is the upgraded gearing. I didn't even test drive this one and for some reason it feels a little sluggish and the motor seams to really shake the car especially after driving on the freeway for awhile. Whats weird is ordinary cars were passing me on takeoff most of the time, but to be fair I am still getting used to the clutch and was taking it a little easy because I hear you are not supposed to really get on them until they get broken in good ~500 miles or so, is that correct? Maybe it because I'm used to a smooth turbo 4 cylinder too. It sure looks nice though. I have to call my uncle yet to get his pin too and I haven't talked to him in years. Hope I made a good decision and figure out what to do for next winter, winter tires for sure or maybe a beater...

Congrats

Most cars will jump ahead of you on takeoff if you have a manual. They are driving auto's and if you haven't noticed most people gun it taking off.

If you don't want them to jump ahead of you, after you learn the manual, they won't. Trust me on this. I have another car that's a manual and I noticed the same thing when I first got it a few years ago, I also learned that if I didn't want them to, they didn't.

weird that you think the stock exhaust is loud.

as far as sluggish, i couldn't call any car that can nail down a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds at over 110mph sluggish.

Sluggish can mean a delay in response from the throttle or clutch or handling. How quick it is in the quarter mile doesn't mean anything.

Yeah 99GTvert, probably more of throttle response and just learning how to drive the car better and getting used to manual again. My genesis seemed quicker at take-off especially when I could power brake it and build up boost before taking off, but I'm sure the stang would fly by it by 30 or so.

Ok, I got some pics up in my garage (not sure how to add some to posts yet). They are not the best, but I'll get some more when it gets warmer and I can wash the car right. btw, I finally got on it a bit for the first time yesterday. I hammered it in 3rd through 5th and you guys were right, its fast! I can see how this car can get you in trouble if your not careful...
