Damn I'm regretting not getting that o/r x now lol. I guess I'm screwed until I fix that first. How abou that first mustang I linked, the yellow one. He doesn't have a 2 step it sounds like but I'm guessing it doesn't have cats either. Must be some other way.

I know it doesn't really answer the question but most cars I've seen shoot flames out do so during full throttle while shifting hard. Of course those cars have far more HP than your and my car combined. In my opinion it's not worth any amount of money if it's for show only, it's money that could be spent on real performance mods.

Then there's this 5.0 with that 2step limiter. [url="http://youtu.be/9TEQ0X0wn1E"]http://youtu.be/9TEQ0X0wn1E[url]

So how do you install one of these? And what are the good ones to get?
apparently that 2nd video is a 2010, which means its not a 5.0

If someone mentioned this I'm sorry I did not feel like reading it all.
But with some internet searching you will find some crazy bast*rds actually plumb tubing with a nozzle to pump raw fuel just upstream of spark plugs mounted near the tips.
Not saying you should do that, but it is what some do to get old school style flames, on modern computer controlled cars.

But of you still have cats and/or a chambered exhaust this will slowly blow them apart. I know this from experience
That used to work with carbureted engines, but I think the key also turns off the injectors. I used to do that with my carbureted motorcycles (Honda VF750F and ST1100), I could get a 2ft flame to shoot out of each pipe, accompanied by a large BANG! My current Honda ST1300 with EFI however, will not do it either by switching off the kill or ignition switches. I suspect EFI car engines would work the same way.

It used to be great fun to do in a tunnel with your buddies riding behind you!
