Installed everything and started it up, but now there is a different tapping noise. I am waiting on my updated tune from Bama, but they said my race tune wouldn't hurt anything that it would just want to stall. The noise is a tapping or ticking when at low idle that disappears when I give it some gas. Before I installed the cam covers I checked and double checked everything and all looked good. Also made sure it was getting oil through the adjusters. Not sure if it could be the phasers acting up without the correct tune or not. Has anyone ever installed the hot rod cams and ran it without the tune?

You might need the vct lockouts for the cam phasers and I would recommend getting the tune so it would run better.

You don't need the limiters with the hot rod cams. Hopefully the tune fixes it.
