Default Exhaust problem for 2014

My wife just got a new 2014 Convertible GT. I wanted to make it a little louder and add a few hp. I bought an off-road H-pipe and a set of Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers. The car is WAY to loud now. I called Lethal Preformace and asked if I could exchange the mufflers for something less aggressive and they said I was stuck with them. So my question is should I put the stock H-pipe back on and keep the Flowmasters or take off the Flowmasters and put the stock mufflers back on?
The 2014 is like twice as loud as my Roush and I have an off-road H-pipe on mine with Borla's. Its just way too loud even for me and I like loud. Sometimes you can feel the exhaust.....it shakes the car.

Keep the off road H pipe and put the stock mufflers back on. At least you still have the performance benefits. My 2 cents. Then maybe go with the GT500 axle backs.

I went with the GT500 axlebacks and it sounds great.

HAHA. +1.

I agree with DCarlin. Go back to stock axle back, then figure out which less aggressive axleback you want to use. The flowmaster outlaw axlebacks weren't loud enough... so I added the off-road x-pipe. Fell in love with my car all over again

Have a shop install a resonator?

Why don't you just get high flow cats and get them installed? You'll get the majority of the small performance boost still and the sound should be a good bit quieter. Otherwise, I'd agree, run the mid pipe with stock mufflers. I'm running an O/R Prochamber with stock mufflers on my car and it sounds great. I will change them out eventually, but until then I'm quite satisfied with the sound. It gets loud when I get on it, but it can stay quiet if I'm gentle (in other words, it's never quiet).

Take the borla off yours and give to her. Put the louder on yours.

If it was my wife's car and I made it too loud, she'ld be some pi55ed ...... and that's a state I would just as soon she not go to .....

Besides, with a stock GT there's no HP in aftermarket mufflers .... just noise. Ford saw to that.

Would probably agree with this. The off road X pipes give the best bump in power (mostly when tuned though) than other exhaust mods, and actually increases the sound of the exhaust to "normal" levels. These stock exhausts are ridiculously quiet!
