WILL THESE FIT? New wheels / tires on an 05 GT vert- Possibly going smaller
I have a race car. And don't take this the wrong way but it's a Corvette. Bought this convertible Mustang GT for the back seat (dogs) and its ability to tow a small boat.
A guy I know has three sets of 2014 wheels and tires that he is selling. My stock wheel is a 17' with 235/55/17. I'm considering switching to the 2014 17' wheels from a v6 car. It has new Michelin x green 215/65/17 tires.
Do you think they will fit? Clear my brakes? Is the offset similar? I'm looking for a smoother ride. And better MPG.
My other two choices are the same wheels but with BFG radial T/A 225/60/17. This tire will be slightly shorter. And I don't know how these two tires stack up.
Option 3 are 18' wheels with Pirelli P Zero 235/50/18 tires. Thinking that these are more performance oriented.
What do you guys think? Will these wheels fit my car? Same offset? I won't be able to try them on for size so I 'd like to know now if possible.

I can't speak for the rims and clearances but don't go with a smaller tire than the basic OEM size. 215/65 R17 is too skinny of a tire and you will not have the appropriate traction for the car. I.E. more likely to get into an accident. These cars are already sketchy on the stock 225 size.
I think the spare tire is 215 and good god, it's a rubber band looking thing..
