Default Just picked up a 2014 GT/CS

... and absolutely love it. I know, I know, it didn't really happen unless there are pictures. Well, I had to brag a little. I'll post some later this weekend once I get time.
Traded up from my '09 GT and happily, I'm not looking back

Need some starting advice/opinion on axle-backs. I had Bassani's on the '09 and they were great except, when on the highways or cruising around at certain speeds I would get drone. Didn't bother me so much as it did the Mrs. Reviews on the 11-14 version say little to no drone. Can anyone out there confirm?
The Roush Axle-backs sound like a good option as well.

Are the advertised power gains by replacing the OEM CAI as good as advertised/worth the extra $$? Can I just get tunes for my car without an aftermarket CAI?

Ghost cam tune worth it?

Not too sure on the axel-backs I know the roush ones sound really good. As far as the CAI and tune, you can tune the car without a CAI. You do pick up a few hp by replacing the intake but if you pair it with a tune it really helps achieve those claimed 20-30+ hp.

I have a 2011 GT, and I tried a few things that have turned out well. I put the K&N CAI on, as well as the Ford Racing X pipe and the Ford Racing Stainless Steel Sport mufflers. I also used the ProCal tuner and have had great performance. I had the Roush intake on before, but the K&N is by far the best. That is my dependable street performance package and I have not had any problems. The dealership has had no problems with these mods even though I have installed them myself properly.

Completely different. Shifting is smoother, steering is tighter, acceleration is faster

Ghost cam tune worth it?
the Ghost Cam Tune is cool sounding at idle.... Sounds like a heavy loping motor in a classic hot rod.

BUT....

Because of the heat build up out the exhaust from this tune.... It requires you have no Catalytic's installed. Until I dropped the cats with an O/R Tru-X the boys at BAMA would not provide me with the Ghost Cam Tune.

Congrats! I went with the GT500 axle-backs. Didn't want anything too loud, but better than stock.

Roush axle backs are great. I have them on my daily driver, no drone issues. They do pop on deceleration, but I like that, so... something you should be aware of.

Congrats on the new GT!

Can't go wrong with a JLT intake IMO
