the downside of having signatures turned off is that I didn't realize you had forced induction. Yeah, forget what I said.

Myself, I wouldn't run that stat simply because the picture doesn't show an air bleed.

However, they're also selling performance 170deg TStats. I bought that one b/c the original Whipple HO kit comes with a 160 and thats what I bought used

It has its own oil, and no it didnt come with new stat.

Only thing that needs to be confirmed is your fan temps. I'm not sure what they should be, but they be listed here somewhere. You can do this yourself with your tuner. No need to get it done professionally.

^What Simon said. IIRC my fan settings were adjusted by my tune, but that is a mail order tune from BAMA, I need to get a true water temp gauge installed though

I was always told to stick with the stock T-stat for my application by my tuner.... My car rarely gets over 193 and I think it is because the high-speed is virtually running all the time.
