Ya know...Moosestang... possibly hit the nail on the head with this one. Don't tell her I said this because she's blocking my posts. BAH.

My ride occasionally will do the same thing when I've come from my bus stop back to my area and do a quick get out then get in to pick up some items at the quick mart. In my case I simply crank it and if it does not immediately start.... switch off then try again.. boom. Rarely happens but when it does I know its because I simply pulled in and shut off kind of abrupt I guess.

The thing is...the iTSX tuner I got came with some tunes that tweak the air fuel mix ...obviously. So I just choke it up to a little extra fuel that didn't get used .... maybe if I idle a bit before I shut it off then this won't happen as often or ...god forbid... go back to stock on my tune....... Which with the other Mods...ain't happening.

Just saying

This used to happen on my Focus every once in a great while (maybe 1 time a year?) But only after sitting for a day or so. Never could figure out why and it never failed to start, it would just take take an extra second or two over the norm so I figured it was just one of those quirks. And my Focus has sat for 3-4 days before and started right up without issue. So no clue. Like I said, a quirk. Now that I think about it though, there were the occasional times when I'd no sooner pull into a space and have the engine off, so maybe it was flooding the cylinders a bit.

alright well its just odd and i like to try and fix stuff if it needs fixing. it is also kind of embarassing. i just turn the key. i hear it prime, then i crank it and itll crank rel fast for 3-4 seconds then start. only every week or two. idk if i should contribute it to my mods or what. moosestang may be right. i would just testing the water
