Ive wondered if there was an option via the handheld tuners to default to 'off' like in the 99-04 models. But for now I just press the button, To remind myself, I use that powerport for my phone charger, but i dont leave it fully plugged in overnight, so I push the charger, push the button....

I've read that TCS can be dangerous for SC motors, so I don't even use it in the rain, is the TCS system not as bad in 05-09 models as it was in the 99-04? I've never really researched much but I don't want the computer changing the finely balanced spark/timing.... I just either drive my other car or drive like grandma

I know there's an option for when your tune is written where they can turn it off by default... but the squiggly lines in your dash are permanently lit, I don't think it's something YOU can change like tire revs/mile or rear gear ratio.

People thought it just cut fuel and caused a lean condition, but in reality it cuts all the damn fuel, closes the throttle and applies the rear brakes, so there's not much chance of it damaging the motor.

You can get it shut off in the tune, but you can't just select it from a handheld tuner.

Just wanted to update this post. I installed a switch and TC is now off when I start the car. No relay, no pulling any panels. Of course if I want it on I either have to flip my new switch before starting the car or flip the switch and push the TC button after it's running. Small price to pay imo.
