Default "Jailbreak" a tuner?

Ladies and Gents,

I have decided that my next mod shall be the CAI and tune. With that in mind I have a question:

I have the SCT3 from my 09 V6 but in my accident the ECU was completely crushed so any chance of reloading stock was nil. I had BAMA free tunes for life- any chance they could wipe my tuner and get me tunes for the new ride if I purchase a new CAI from them or is it locked to that now destroyed car forever? If they would do that for me I would obviously want to keep doing business with them but if not and I had to buy a new tuner I would want to take a serious look at Brenspeed

IIRC SCT will unlock a tuner for you if you contact them.

SCT can unlock it, but be prepared to pay for that service. I suppose they may accept a proper paper trail to verify your story.

Side note, skip the CAI. It is just money down the drain.

Hey-Sorry to hear about the loss! tx_zstang beat me to it and we're unfortunately unable to unlock tuners but shoot SCT a call or an email. I'm sure they would be able to work with you on the price given the circumstances. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help!

Alex,

If SCT unlocks it will the free tunes for life still be valid in the new stang or is that a nogo?

From BANA's website: Tunes for Life membership is is valid for as long as you own the car that was originally tuned and is non-transferrable
