Hello. Im gathering parts for my 05 mustang GT to swap out the trans from auto to manual. I know this is a big job but ill be taking this on myself. If anyone has done this, Help is appreciated. From a few sorces i am getting a parts list. If im missing anything please let me know. Or if you have or know where i can get one of these for cheaper, it will help me greatly.

Ive Looked up all theese parts new and would deffently be ok getting them used. Most of them.

I live right out of Charlotte NC and ive been trying to locate a used trans for a decent price. I also cant locate a shifter/brake petal box.

If anyone lives in the are and is willing to help me on this project it would be a GREAT help. I could pay if needed.

You're missing one major part: driveshaft!

I have a few of the parts on your list when you're ready to do this. (spacer plate, one of the clutch pedal cruise control switches, various brake pedal switches).

You'l also need a manual PCM and engine/trans wiring harness, or alter your harness to work. And, appropriate pcm programming (PATS and tuning, if any).

The transmission should already have the bellhousing attached. You can find good used stock shifters at good prices.

I wasn't sure if I needed a different drive shaft or not. And yes I would love to get whatever good parts you have for me! I was gong to just alter my wiring harness to work.

look into LKQ. they part out wrecked late model cars and ship parts to their warehouses all over the us. they should be able to help find parts your looking for. look on your local CL for local parts as well. good luck

Might try for a shot in the dark and advertise for someone wanting a manual to auto switch.

Then you guys can switch all parts. Not likely you'll get a hit, but maybe you will.

The job is quite an under taking, TX ZSTANG, hit the nail on the head. If you can find a schematic to make sure your connections from the engine to the transmission are correct. You might have to reposition some harness pins to achieve proper functions. Also the PCM on manual cars usually are different than automatics. GOOD LUCK! Keep us informed. I wouldn't own a muscle car without a manual transmission, they are so much more fun to drive.
