New To Forum
Whats up everyone I am new to the forum but not so new to muscle cars or sports cars. I currently own a 2005 Sports Appearance Package GTO with an LS2 that has some modifcations and i also have a 2004 EVO with a lot of modifications. Im really interested in getting a newish 5.0 mustang after racing one on the highway a couple weeks ago. My GTO beat a bone stock one only by a couple car lengths and i was pretty impressed. Id love to know if there are any draw backs to the newer generation 5.0 stangs or if they are as great as they seem. Money really isnt an issue I love cars and i do all of my own work. Here are my babies.

<--- Former 2005 GTO owner. owned it for 7 years. I have zero regrets. I only miss the GTO a little bit. as it was old enough that it could have gone to DD duty. would have liked to still have it for that, but really that only. Even cammed and full bolt-ons it made barely any more power than the Mustang does, and since it's heavier, the GTO is obviously slower.

Welcome to the party. Now let us spend your money for you.
I bough my '14 a few weeks ago. There are some pros and cons to your timing.
If you prefer the look of the 14 as I do then you need to go hunting now. Ford hasn't been making them for a few months so the existing stock is what you get to choose from. On the upside, ford is desperately trying to get 14s off the lot so you can find some killer deals.
If you want a 15, be prepared to wait a few months and pay sticker because the pent up demand for those if gonna be huge. You might be a great negotiator but that doesn't matter when your next door neighbor is willing to pay sticker.
IMO, a 5.0 is a 5.0. The 15 is a beautiful looking car but it doesn't look like a Mustang to me. Whereas the 14 is a beautiful looking car AND clearly a Mustang.
