300 is WAY too much for a pinyon seal. I'm sorry you already had it done. It took an hour so he charged 295.00 in labor? If/when it goes again then you know

lame.

yeah they said, 3hrs labor. They said they had to take apart the whole differential setup to get to the pinion seal...

Ugh, unfortunately they BSed you. Unhook driveshaft, remove flange, pop out seal, put new one in, reinstall flange, reinstall driveshaft. Has nothing to do with the inside of the differential.

Stealerships suck.
