Breathers on PCV
Question, I see this breather kit for the pcv system sold a couple places. What benefit other than preventing the blow by going into my supercharger would they provide? What drawbacks such as CEL etc, how can I plug the pvc valve on the inlet of the supercharger. Will any of this affect CEL/MIL and or passing OBDII scan emissions?

I have a breather on my passenger side and catch can on driver side. the only draw back is ever since I had my motor built and added more hp I get some oil on the underneath side of the hood. Not a big deal as a clean wash my once a month. As far as codes thrown Never. I think it works great. You will get different opinions about this but brenspeed runs these on their cars as im sure many others do.

Can you breather both sides? Or do you have to have a catch can? When I cleaned my troublesome TB the other day I was able to reach in and soak up alot of oil in the inlet tube, I dont want all that oil going into my twin screws then being compressed into my cylinders... it CANT be good for the car

Yea im sure you can but I believe there is more oil that comes in through the driver side. Which is why a lot of people run catch cans there. Im sure you can run a breather there but it would probably be a bit messy

I have breathers on both sides w/o any issue for like 4 years now. I get a lot more oil coming out the passenger side though. The drivers side breather rarely ever requires cleaning while the passenger side is soaked with oil after a few hundred miles.

The drivers side breather doesn't need cleaning because the pcv isn't opening while you're cruising under vacuum. It opens a tiny bit if pressure builds up but not much, that's why the oil is coming out the passenger side breather. I am going back to the catch can system with a CFM oil filler breather.
