I was reading online that some people thought that both the bikes and trunk rack moved just a bit too much with that setup, which in turn scratched the paint, do you have that problem?

I just use a trailer hitch with a removable bike rack.......easy, no damage to the body, plus the hitch might come in handy sometime.

Every trunk mounted bike rack I've ever used scratched the paint. You did the best set up with the Yakima rack system, safe for your car and versatile to carry other stuff with other attachments if you wish.

The only problem is the color of your bike doesn't match your car!!! You need a GHIG Mustang or break out the plastidip on the bike!!

Anything sitting on the paint has the chance to scratch.....there will be vibrations. Maybe some of the clear bug guard material under the feet would help prevent scratches and scuffs plus it is easy to remove.

Lets just say after the first time it was mounted to the car, I was LIVID. Then my spouse promised me that the stripes would be painted on the car in the future, and I was okay with it.
