I'm not a bodyshop expert, but I say you won and the deer lost. You yourself were personally unscathed. Not even a scratch. Your car probably has maybe $1500 of damage; and even if you don't fix it, your car is still 100% drivable.

Bambi on the other hand is probably physically (and mentally) scarred for life.

It also looks like that deer did you a little bit of a favor. seeing how much corrosion is on the front of the hood, I can only imagine how bad it is all over where the pics don't show.

I ran over a raccoon on the highway late Saturday night- glad it wasn't anything bigger, that's for sure.
