Unhappy 2011 hood bubbling paint

Help... noticed our white 2011 GT's hood is bubbling from corrosion under the front lip. Took to local dealer and first they said they couldn't help because it was couple months past the 3yr warranty and they could only suggest local repair shops. I told them that I had seen several complaints on this forum and that there was a customer service rep for FORD that helps resolve the issue. Does anyone know who I need to contact??

your dealer should be aware that the corrosion warranty is 5 years, unlimited miles. Take the warranty guide out of your owner's manual booklet and slap those jackasses in the face with it.

Hopefully your dealer will help you with this but unfortunately the corrosion warranty only covers if the rust has eaten through and there is a hole.

I was told the same thing, past my mileage and was told I would have to wait until a hole was eaten through before they would fix it.

A class action lawsuit filed in the United States District Court in New Jersey claims that Ford used aluminum hoods but failed to properly insulate them from "old iron-based connecting and supporting parts," despite knowing that "would give rise to galvanic coupling" and corrision

This BS started in the 05 models and it's still happening on 2011's. Man that's just pathetic. Come on ford seriously. Ignore much!

My 2013 did it this past summer. Dealer put a new hood on it. I figure it will happen again this time next year.

Pathetic. Wow, well at least you got a new hood. Maybe it will last.

Is the corrosion problem happening in northern states or is it all over the country?

Do they all rust in particular spots that a used car buyer could keep an eye out for when shopping around?

It happens all over the country. Mine has been in Texas since purchase and the paint is bubbled up on the exterior, flaked off in places on the underside.
