I bought new bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Bolts are M6-1.0 x 16 and washers are 6mm or M6. Got everything installed.


New bolt and washers (left). Old bolt and washers (right). It's obvious the old bolts are too short if you include the washers.

Finished! I had to add an extra washer to the four bolts of one fan so the bolts don't contact the fins. I added blue loctite on all bolts.


Hopefully anyone who does this mod doesn't run into the same issue I did.

Pics of the install I did today. I thought I had to buy a new IC pump because the fluid wasn't moving in the reservoir. I later found out I had to burp the system. Doh!

The dual Spal fans are awesome. You can really hear them. Toss a towel at the HE and it will stick to it.

Yeah, use locktite or get a different bolt. I always go to my local fastener company and they will match thread and length of choice.
