Brenspeed 110,000 mustang modifications
#15
I have the same Stage 1 mods with almost identical HP/TQ numbers though my 4.6 is only at 67k miles. I'm eagerly awaiting the dyno results for Stage 2 (LT headers, DR cams) so I can do the same again. I estimate a 40-45rwhp gain bringing the numbers up to 345-350rwhp.

We've been waiting with bated breath for Episode 2 and here it is:
Episode 1: 305.87rwhp, 324.16rwtq
Kooks headers/offroad X-pipe: 320.49rwhp, 333.03rwtq
Detroit Rocker cams: 343.48rwhp, 329?rwtq

Except that the Detroit Rocker cams only produced HP/TQ gains over the Stage 1 + Kooks headers set-up from 5100rpm upwards.
Stage 2 (Detroit Rockers + Kooks headers combined) only produced HP/TQ gains over the Stage 1 set-up from 4200rpm upwards with small losses lower down.
Which means that despite the impressive-looking peak-to-peak 37rwhp gain from Stage 2 over Stage 1, the car will feel a little slower below 4200rpm. You could go up one ratio with the axle gears to compensate e.g. 3.73 if you have 3.55.
