JLT 3 CAI Filter keeps falling off
I've had my JLT 3 CAI for a year now, pictured here.
Three times now the filter has fallen off while driving! When this happens, the car sputters a bit and then shuts off power and locks up. I tried tightening the hose clamp as tight as possible. I tried slightly looser. What can I do to give it better grip and not fall off?? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had the same problem. I ended up fabbing a brace out of some angle iron and put it in the filter box to keep the filter from "sliding" off the tube. It's about 6-8" long, and runs along the edge of the filter element. I used some existing holes to attach it.

That stinks....
Not sure how often you wash your car, but maybe try including a "filter check" when you do. This should help prevent that from happening.

Likely more years ago than you've been alive I was a Jet Engine Mechanic for the USAF. I kept a spool of .032" safety wire and I still use it when the need comes up. Can you see a point on the air filter and an appropriate place on the CAI or the air box to wire the two together? That will certainly fix the problem! Otherwise you need to fatten up the CAI tube. I've also found bicycle inner-tube rubber to be handy at times, or, you could simply put a couple of those healthy size rubber bands on the CAI tube before you put the filter on.
