It was only on the 05-06 models. It was resolved in 07+ Try a different gas station (different company) if you have problems with one. A different Nozzle from the gas pump might help alleviate the problem.

I don't believe the issue was isolated to just the 05-06 cars. Every once in a while I will have the issue in my 08. It has to do with the fuel station pumps. Some pumps flow at a higher rate and the cars vent system cant keep up so the fuel backs up the filler neck.

I sometimes have the problem on my '07. Most of the time it is okay, but sometimes not. I just have to get used to the strange expression on someone's face who is driving a monster SUV and pulls up to an adjacent pump while I am already pumping my gas. The SUV driver fills up and drives off, and I'm still pumping my gas. He must figure I'm awfully inept or that I have a 40 gallon auxiliary tank hidden somewhere.

Happens nearly everytime with my 2011 truck. Doesnt matter what station either. Is sucks....ford really blew it. My truck takes 30 gallons....a huge PITA when I have to restart the pump over and over to fill it.

I've owned 09,12,14 ponies and have not had this happen once. Thanks for the "Heads Up".

Have you addressed this with your dealer, 808muscle? If not, I recommend you speak with your service manager, as he is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

Also, remember most repairs performed at a Ford Dealer come with a 2 year/unlimited mile warranty. You can schedule an appointment online here. Let me know the outcome.
