Default bent phb passenger chassis mount

I was wondering what would repair be if that chassis mount ever got bent in a collision. Lets say the impact was from passenger rear wheel and bent the phb chassis mount (few mm or so) slightly towards driver side. Is it even worth pulling it back to spec, if not will it effect drivability? My friends friend 12' stang were hit by an elderly.

might be good to have it welded very well then get an adjustable PHB.

I recommend an ON-car adjustable like UMI, just be sure to tighten the nuts down extremely well and use locktite.

That whole area needs a close inspection by an experienced crash repair technician. It's going to be his "eyes-on" opinion that matters, more than well-intended guesses over the internet at what sorts of other damage may also be present.

I was told by a friend they put it on a frame machine and found 2-3mm off on that phb chassis mount on passenger side. Mechanic also noticed slight (2mm or so) bent on the sway bar mount on passenger chassis side. Is it significant enough to even bother pulling it back into spec? im thinking it wont even be noticeble on drivabilty either.

It could come down to being the shop's judgment call. FWIW, all of the dimensions between body control holes that I can remember seeing allow a 1/16" tolerance on dimensions under some length (typically 100"), and 1/8" (3mm) for dimensions over that length.

If they leave it alone, I'd take a wait and see attitude before ordering an adjustable-length PHB unless I had some unrelated reason for wanting one.

Unfortunately i dont know the rest of the story what route he took but seem pointless to me. As **** as i am, i would probably leave the 2 mm bent alone since it wont effect drivability. Is 2mm adjustment even possible on a pulling machine?
