She already has, unless she has more tricks up her sleeve.

The regional customer service manager for my area and her supervisor have no idea what is going on, literally.

The dealer said Ford coming out a second time and looking over things is unprecedented and he had never seen any situation like this before. Honestly my faith with the dealer is low to begin with so I take those words at face value and nothing else.

I'm sorry for my language earlier I am just really quite irritated with this whole ordeal.

I included these links in my executive email.

There are hundreds, if not perhaps thousands of posts on forums that describe other people across the country having similar problems to me with their MT82’s and having their transmissions replaced sometimes two times! Some of the posters on these forums actively advertise that they are using forced induction, bringing their vehicles to the track, and even have modified ECM tunes, and yet they are having their transmissions replaced under warranty! My vehicle has never had any of these modifications or use cases.

Sooo happy I have a 2008..this is BS, they need to replace that thing FREE!

PS. Ford needs to stop trying to save money by installing Chinese $hit, we'll pay more for quality!

Even got a shoutout here!

I hate to say it, but I think it is time to get an attorney.

I agree, or at least a consultation to find out what can or can not be done about this situation.

I'd honestly do everything you can right now to be patient.

The reason (I'm sure) the original estimate was for ~$2000 was most likely because you said you wanted to take it (drivable) out in the same condition it was when you drove it in there.

I'm sure if there were broken parts such that the transmission couldn't be re-assembled with them in that condition, they'd have to replace those parts, etc.

Having something towed as-is is a lot different than having it re-assembled well enough to drive out.

Taking everything at your word, (i.e. that you've never actually flogged on the car), the fact that Ford is out there again, and taking this long, means it's going through a lot of red tape, and probably in your favor.

Over the years, I've worked at several large companies that you'd be familiar with. You'd be amazed how many people take close to the entire month of December off.

Keep in mind, even if the FSE went back and approved it, it would have to go a regional/department manager, and possibly the department head/CEO. You have no idea the amount of bureaucracy that goes into these things.

Just be patient.

How have you been managing? Rental Car or do you have a separate vehicle?

I can second the bureaucracy issues. Things like this that require multiple levels of approvals can easily take weeks to get processed when everyone is in the office. Add in the November/December holiday season and the time triples. People come back from vacation and have to catch up on the situation before they approve it.

I'm going through a similar thing with my health insurance company. I work for a major, worldwide, Fortune 500 company. In mid October I had a surgery that was in-network and with all in-network providers. My carrier pre-approved this surgery and all was going well, until Aetna decides that I actually owe about $145,000. Yes, six figures for a covered and in-network surgery. I have been dealing with that, much like your transmission, for six weeks.
