For the price the roush doesn't really look all that well made to me. Also I hope there are some parts AM just isn't showing in their pictures because it looks to me like that thing would just get full of dirt, and it has no stops or provisions for stops (even the hurst has threaded holes in the shifter base, they just don't supply bolts).

I've had my pro 5.0 on my car since 2006. I've never driven a car with a different one, but I'm very happy with it. I believe the Pro 5.0 and Tri-ax are pretty much the same thing.

Wow, that topic brings back memories...

MGW has been the choice for quality on these cars.
The Hurst has the shortest throw than any other I tried and that's the one I have in my 120K miles Stang (06) and it's been in there from day one without vibrations and it's staying in.
The vibrations on the Hurst are due to the facts that the provided hardware for the handle is junk.
I used copper washers with longer bolts so I could jam a nut on the other side when I mounted this thing back in 07 and never looked back.

If you want a short throw, it will be notchy no matter the Brand because that's the nature of the beast.

I have the Baton wrapped up under the Christmas Tree-I'm having trouble going into 3rd sometimes with the stock shifter at 65K miles. I'll update this post when I install it

Default Shifter

I've seen a lot of posts where guys were changing from these other shifters to MGW. Can't remember seeing any going the other way.

I put a Hurst Billet+ in ours last year and not long later I made a short extension that raised the stick about 1-7/8" and angled it a hair rearwards, I still have a much shorter than stock throw from 3-4 is 2-3/8" measured at center of ball, stock was about 4" and lower so my elbow hit console top. Throw was even shorter before I added the extension but I like the higher ball position.

A rattle seems to have been permanently cured by just packing a little moly grease on top of the ball socket area and covering with plastric and then putting the boots back in place.

Love the looks too.

Yep.
The shortest throw is what sold me on that unit.
Keep in mind that my preferences might not be in par with yours...
