Sway bar end links.. Even a 1/4 turn loose will make a ton of clunking noise. I didn't believe it till I tried it also. Added some lock tight and snugged them down. The control arms could be going or replaced with bad refurbished ones. But this is an easy check before anything else

I had the same clunk. Hitting the road reflectors that divides the lanes would result in that horrible noise. Replaced strut mounts, no change. Replace front LCAs with the gt500 pieces and all is quiet. This was with 20k miles on the car. Quite sad when you think about it. Nothing should fail at such low mileage. I bought used so no warranty.
