Default Has anyone used Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Drag Tires?

I'm thinking of getting a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Drag Tires size 235/60R15 for the rear of my 2005 Mustang GT, but I dont know how they'll look and how theyll handle on the street, if anyone has any pictures and/or reviews it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Do you mean 275/60 x 15? I didn't think that they came in a 235. Seems like that would be quite narrow for a drag radial.

(edit, I just looked it up on the MT site and they do make a 235).

I have the 275/50 x 15 on my drag wheels and they fit great. When I replace though I am thinking of going to the 275/60 x 15 for a little more side wall; the turbo is going to be too much for the current tire I'm afraid.

The drag radial is NOT a good tire for the street and daily driving. If you have them don't get caught in the rain because there will be no grip. Once that rear end breaks loose with the drag radials there is no recovery and no warning.

The Nitto 555r is most likely the best daily driving drag radial. It works decent in the rain and decent on the track. It also can last up to 15k on the street. I run a 305/40/18 on a 10.5 wheel. I also have a set of MT drag radials for the track only. Grips very well but yes dont get caught in the rain. I run 295/40/17 and would buy them again.

I have heard nothing but good reviews. I want to get them also. It doesn't rain in AZ so I think I would be fine to drive on them.

I drive those all year around. I have had the BFGs, MT's and the Nittos. Nittos by far have lasted the longest and had the best overall performance in durability, grip, road manners and wet/cool/dry performance.

With 4.10s and 540 rwhp I can go WOT from a slight roll on the street and dead hook the majority of the time. If the roadway is kind of crappy, I get some spin.

I have driven them in the rain and in freezing temps. I do not drive spirited in those conditions, but I have to say they actually hook better in those conditions compared to my original tires and the big BFG street tires I had prior to the Nittos.

The BFGs and MTs grabbed more road debris when driving around, throwing quite of bit of trash up into my fender wells.

If you live in AZ, I would go for it.

I run the M/T ET Street Radial II's for my summertime DD rear tires. I have found them to be an excellent DD tire for high HP Stangs. The dry traction, road handling, wet traction and wear characteristics are all great. I don't run them in the colder months but I have been caught in heavy thunder storms with them and they worked great. The II sizes are a different tire from the normal DR's they are made more for DD then the other style. The sizes are very limited in 15 inch, as they are more for modern cars with 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch wheels. I run a set of 295/45/R17's for my track tires and a set of 305/45/R18's for my DD tires. I have never used the Nitto tires but I have heard good things about except for traction at the track. I have about 5000 miles on the DD 18's and they still look very good. I don't see why I can't get 8000 or maybe even 9000 miles out of them. That is crazy good mileage for a soft compound DR.

Default 2014 DIB 3.7 w/ sport shift "Blue Cyclone"

I support american companies as much as possible, but due to a "short on funds" issue I have paying for throat cancer treatments I got some 275/40/18's from my dealership with a salesman's discount for $155.00 a tire. They are Yokohama S-drive's, a new tire made in Japan. Here's a pic.
