Default Transmission problem maybe? HELP PLEASE

Hi,
I own a 2006 mustang gt premium 5 speed manual transmission. The car is stock except for a magna flow performance axle back exhaust system. Today the car started cutting out hard in 1st and 2nd gear. The car would jerk back and forth in 1st and 2nd gear and shifting really hard. There was NO grinding of gears. I dont know what the problem is. Is it a cheap or expensive fix? Any way to avoid this in the future? If anyone knows, please feel free to comment here or message me.

What do you mean by "cutting out hard?" Can you elaborate on the hard shifting?

When I put it in first gear and do my get off, the very first part of the gear, the car jumps back n forth almost like it's not getting enough gas even tho I'm putting plenty on the throttle. It's only doing it in first and 2nd gear.

Have you checked your throttle body for crud? How many miles? The fuel system may need a cleaning with Techron or SeaFoam.
