I've owned 2 vehicles (both tow vehicles) that I typically went 10k miles on full synthetic. One I sold at 152k miles and the other at 205k miles. Neither one had compression or burning issues. My '07 GT had been on 10k mile changes when I was putting 20k-30k miles/year on her but now she only sees about 6k/year so she's on annual changes. But never an issue on 10k.

There are a number of people that have their oil analyzed and have no problems going beyond 15k miles and still had plenty of oil life remaining. But IMO, if I'm going to the trouble to pull a sample and ship it off, I'll change that oil at 10k-12k miles without a bit of worry.

There is no way I would go outside Ford's recommendations while you are still under warranty. From my dealings with Ford on warranty work, they already use whatever they can to deny a claim so why give them ammo. Just use the OLM, 10,000 miles or any amount under 10,000 miles you want to use.

I try and do mine about every 6-8000 miles and write it down in the log.

I think the OP's decision is quite wise to now schedule his changes at 10k. I change mine with full synthetic every 2,500 miles, yes it's overkill and yes the EPA hate me but FFS it only takes 10 minutes and about $50 for new oil and filter...

10K with full synthetic if your car is not seeing extreme conditions. Less if it is.

I change mine once a year, which is right about 9-10k. I would do it sooner if I hit 10k.
