Tremec has a cool app you can download to your phone and check you PI and it's free. The noise is from the UCA. PI off will cause vibrations. I think your PI is fine.

thanks for the info every one! i haven't been on here in a while and forgot about the thread

I never got vibration and the noise didn't change when turning or anything so id assume it was just due to the firm bushing transmitting noise.
I'm going to try the white line UCA again once i do bag the car and see if it makes a difference being lower or not.
