WTF... how did this happen (licence plate)
Hey guys
I know the picture is a little hard to make out, but I'm just trying to make out how or why this happened. After what seemed like years, I finally got my licence plates in. I went to put them on, and well the holes are too far apart... This car has always been a Texas car, so I don't know why the holes were drilled that far apart... Idk how the previous owner even had one on if they were like this. I stuck the licence plate up on the dash, I hope that is legal? I know I can just drill some new holes, but dang... who wants more holes in the bumper??? Jeez the previous owner of this car confuses me. Anybody have even the smallest inkling of how or why this exists? I have to have a front plate cause, you know, silly Texas law.
Also, on a related note, does anybody have any tips on drilling into the bumper plastic? Not really my idea of fun

Re-check you state law regarding front plates. I know a few states that required front plates made cars that didnt have a factory designated area molded were made exempt recently. you just had to have the plate inside the vehicle, but not displayed.

What about just buying one of those front license plate delete kits? There are no front license plate requirements in Florida, but I will be moving to a state that requires them and not about to drill two holes into my front bumper. From my understanding they attach by using a bolt that is allready underneath the front bumper, and the kit comes with everything you need.
