Question Want lower seats, I'm Too tall... Please Help!

Hello All, I have searched but no luck. I am 6'-7" and have to drive my '14 GT with the seat reclined fairly heavily. I am looking to put aftermarket seats in that would be ~2" lower if possible. I would like a seat good for track days & autocross as well as DD. Anyone out there a giant like me but wants to be able to drive this car comfortably have a solution for this?

I don't know of one but if you look under the seat, you can see the body of the car doesnt have hardly any clearance. You might be out of luck. Maybe recaros?

I'm 6'2" and my Mustangs fit me like a glove. That said, I cannot imagine being 5 inches taller and being comfortable. There's just no way. I agree with the above - try finding a Mustang in your area with the Recaros, but I doubt that will be much improved, if any.

Get a convertible and always keep the top down. #ProblemSolved

I don't know what the 2014's are like, but the manual seat bracket on the 05-09 versions was at least an inch lower than the automatic adjustable every which way seats. I've also heard of people taking the seats to an upholsterer who cut back the seat foam by about half and made a fresh set of covers to fit.

I've been looking at the Corbuea's and they have one that is 2.5" seat Horgan but I'm unsure of what my current seats are. I have the California special and I don't know if those seats are different than the regular leather?

I have the Corbuea seats in my car. But are one piece fiberglass and would probably not work for you. I would call them and Recarro and explain what you need. The brackets on mine have been bent just a little bit and I made an extenion for the front bracket mounts to get more of a recline in the seat.

Call and talk to them. They have lots of choices.

I spoke with Corbuea yesterday. They recommended the Sportline Evo, RRX or RRS seeing they all have 2.5" thick bottoms. Now I'm wondering the best way to measure my current seat so I can figure out the difference.

My other question is concerning the seat airbag?? Is there somthing I need to worry about taking the oem seat out? I'm guessing there is...
