Default 2011 5.0 knocking noise. Help if possible.

Whats going on guys, just trying to see if anyone has dealt with this before or can maybe pinpoint where this noise is coming from. It seems to be coming from the pipe, can't exactly tell. It does this and idle and when i rev the car but when i am driving it seems to go away which is what makes me nervous. To me it sounds like some metal to metal hitting together but when we lifted it up i could not find where it was coming from because this only happens sometimes. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you addressed this with your dealer, jraymond394? Make sure you speak with your service manager if needed. He is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

You can schedule an appointment online here.

Got to get in on a lift...trace the exhaust pipes to look for any interference, alternatively, they need to locate the source of the noise.

You can bump it all you want but anybody here would be just speculating. If you want to trace this down then perhaps you should go to an experienced Ford dealer.

Side note, I have never seen a person "Bump" a thread so much in one day on this forum. Seriously. "bumping" is useless because there aren't enough new threads to push something off the first page. Chill out....

Any exhaust mods? I can't see signatures due to viewing this on the mobile platform.
