navigation system to replace shaker 500

Welcome to the forum. This has been discussed on a constant basis.
If you like the way the cheap ones look, go for it. Or, maybe you have heard of this thing called a "smartphone?" lol
I have two GTs, both have the in-dash Nav, and I use my 8 year old Garmin or my phone.

I had a 2013 F-150 with the Sync and GPS and all that. Was good, thought the GPS data was SO out of date, and though I could get a new SD for it with newer maps, I read the reviews that said it was STILL two years old, which didn't do me much good, since I was working in Houston and wanted new maps for stuff that was less than 2 years old. I've never really liked the factory-installed units because the manufacturers don't prioritize support for their legacy equipment. Big other gripe is the passenger can't enter anything in looking for restaurants on the road because the vehicle is moving - you gotta pull over and stop. My folks have Acura and Lexus, and they're not much different, either. "Bah... Just buy a new car or use your phone!"
I've never liked using my phone as the GPS because if a call comes in, or an AMBER ALERT, or whatever - while I am driving - it interrupts the GPS. What a pain...
So I still swear by my old trusty Garmin Nuvi.
I've got the ProClip brackets to mount it, everything to make it work, but I'm not super thrilled about having the cigarette lighter plug stabbed into the center of the dash (and since smoking isn't common, why won't auto makers come up with a better plug than that silly and bulky design??).
To that end, has anyone got some insight into power plug solutions? Maybe somewhere under the dash and I'd tuck the cables under the console or something? I see some available, and as bulky as they are, I'm not chomping at the bit to bolt one in anywhere visible, as the Mustang's interior has a tight economy of unused space.

OK hope someone can help me out on this 2011 Shaker w/sync.w/o NAV. My Questions are as follows, have a junk yard NAV out of a 2010 Mustang GT, wiring harness missing. Question: is the wiring already in my car that will work with the NAV? What problems do you guys see me having to over come? Also need bezel. Thanks please be complete if you have any ideas on making this work and can I hook up more than one camera? Thanks in Advance!!
