My new MMD retro mirrors: Possible issues?
I just installed my new MMD retro mirrors and I noticed that the passenger side mirror isn't magnified and it doesn't say objects in mirror are closer than they appear. Is anyone's MMD mirror like this? I bought these mirrors to replace my Agent 47 mirrors because I wanted the cups painted. Figured it would be cheaper to buy prepainted mirrors than to go through the hassle of having my Agent 47 mirrors painted. Now I'm kind of regretting it. I should've just had my Agent 47's painted. The plastic of these MMD mirrors seem cheaper. I've already stripped one of the motor mounting pegs when screwing it down. I didn't even apply that much torque. I ended up using some black RTV on the threads to hold the screw in place.
Also, the high performance white paint of the mirror doesn't match my car. It's too white. I guess I shouldn't complain considering my car is 8 yrs old and paint does fade. Oh well. I'll live with it for now.
Passenger side without "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" wording.
Here's a picture from AM for reference:
Maybe I was sent two drivers side mirrors by mistake?
One last thing, the drivers side mirror doesn't sit squarely in the housing. The inner top edge of the mirror is really close to the housing as you can see in this picture. I noticed someone named Claudius mentioning this issue in a review of these mirrors on AM's site.
Here's another picture. There's too much gap at the bottom right thus making the top right nearly touch the housing.

I no longer have them. I went back to my Agent 47 mirrors and painted the caps white with black stem. I didn't like the way the glass sits in the housing of the MMD ones so that's why I sold them. If I recall, the passenger side mirror was barely magnified.
