Default Powdercoated wheels + Illumaglow

Waxed my car today and thought I would share my latest mods. My wheels are 20" Ronale Cobra III wheels that I got secondhand off Mustangforums. They were in pretty bad shape when I got them, and I managed to hit a few curbs with them myself. They were in bad bad shape.

SO, I finally got them to a wheel repair shop and had them repaired and powdercoated. The results were fantastic. Powdercoating is much much better than plastidip, or painting them yourself. The powdercoat has such a regal, clean look to it. Well worth the $500 I spent to do all 4 wheels.

After that, I bought some Illumaglow, "the glowing vinyl" that you may have seen posted on Youtube. I put it around the edges of the wheel. During the day time is shines a little, but at night it lights up pretty good and creates a glowing red halo around the wheel. Some say it's a bit tacky, I'm just testing out the material for fun, I can always pull it off.

Is this a joke? Did I wake up in some sort of awkward ricer twilight zone? I like the black though.

Well sometimes you have to look yourself in the mirror and say, "When in Rome".

I think it looks good! I was thinking about some black 5 spoke machined face wheels with grabber orange lip. Just a touch of orange on the wheels.

Not feeling the red tape but the black wheels are nice.

not sure if the rim tape you used is made from the same material i used before, but i put some reflective rim stripes on my R1 and went to remove them after maybe 6 months, the tape wouldnt come off easily, i ended up having to get an eraser wheel and spent a good hour on each wheel getting every tiny little fleck of reflective tape off of it, sadly i think theres still a piece here and there i just got annoyed with it haha
